Almería is the capital city of the province and is (naturaly) the busiest place around. Situated only 5 minutes or so from the airport the city is also the main sea port of the area with vessels and ferries leaving for all destinations.

The city of Almería is also where the main line railway station can be found (railway lines are very rare in this province) with access to most parts of Spain and beyond. Central administration is also based here and most people in the province end up having to go to the capital for one reason or another at some time in their lives.
